Driving organisational performance through effective leadership behaviours

Roundtable Hosted by FabricShift
– 27 November 2025

Overview

The role of leadership in our ever-changing world is essential. What behaviours must leaders have to ensure that employees are engaged, included and productive? Leaders are responsible for setting the tone, establishing expectations and shaping the culture of the workplace. Leadership has evolved from a command-and-control approach to one that fosters connection and behaviours such as empathy and inclusion. These traits and habits, when modelled consistently, help lead by example, building trust, employee performance and followership. Yet, some question whether this more human-centred approach slows down execution and impacts performance. This ongoing tension lies at the heart of modern leadership—and the future of business success.

"The most significant factors that lead to a lack of success in transformation programs revolve around people. Some organizations appear to have forgotten that it’s the people within the company, their relationships, and how they are led and managed that drive transformational change"
